Resumo


This study addresses the improvement of the helipads and airports of four urban centers to accommodate Vertiports for Advanced Air Mobility, which promises to mitigate the problems caused by accessibility hardships in the urban environment. Seeing as few studies embody the social aspect so profoundly in contrast to the technical aspect of the aircraft themselves, the helipads have been mapped all around the state of São Paulo and the point distribution was submitted to K-means clustering to find the areas within the urban centers with more growth capacity and public utility. The main findings reveal that specific goals of accessibility can be achieved with little action, but the overall gains in welfare are small without specific investments in new infrastructure.
