Resumo

Air transport is essential for the circulation of people around the world. In Brazil, due to its continental dimensions, it is substantial to have a system of movement that provides territorial fluidity. In many cases, getting to the airport is a very significant problem, since many cities, especially in the interior, have poor road transport. In fact, few airports in the country have more than one modal option to access them. It is in this sense, that this work aims to analyze the preponderant role of intermodality in the connection with Brazilian airports. For this, the theoretical and methodological referential of the Geography of Circulation, Transportation and Logistics is adopted, combined with qualitative and quantitative data obtained in public organs, regulatory agencies and in technical visits. Besides this, this research makes use of a bibliographical review of the theme, graphs, tables and photos and maps, as auxiliary forms of exposition of the content. It is observed that airports, especially those located in large metropolitan regions and granted to the private sector, have the most access options, as well as the greatest pressure on public authorities to establish new forms of transportation. Furthermore, it is reinforced that there is a lack of dialogue between State Logistics and Corporate Logistics.
